The (rough) plan
In the absence of the time or money to actually do anything I can at least write grand plans that make it sound like I know what I'm doing.
A lot of this is predicated on solving a few logistical hurdles, like the fact the RR is in a shed 50 miles from home and that shed is chock-full of crap that needs to be cleared out before we can move round the car at all.
Body
- Strip it down, remove doors / windows, interior, etc.
- Refurbish doors and other parts by installments
- Clean
- Repair
- Ideally get it chemically dipped/stripped and e-coated
Chassis
- Get it out
- Strip it & clean it
- Inspect
- Repair
- Ideally get it dipped/stripped, otherwise just clean up as best we can
- Galvanise
- Paint
Engine
- Remove it
- File it
- Build up 4.6
- Fit
Drivetrain
Gearbox
- Remove it
- File it
- Check & build up R380
- Source & build LT230
- Fit
Axles
- Remove
- Strip
- Clean casings
- Galvanise casings
- Rebuild diffs etc.
- Refit
