Dinitrol
I use Dinitrol as it seems to work well and is easy to apply.
The major bugbear with Dinitrol is their numbering & descriptions are really confusing and they seem incapable of putting a simple table of products & applications on their website.
Anyway, the TL;DR is:

Electroplating / Electrical rust removal
I've used these methods and they work very nicely, Geoffrey Croker on Youtube has one of the best videos explaining it: Electroplating - Easy DIY Nickel, Copper, Zinc Plating. He's also restored a Series Land Rover so is clearly a Good Sort.
Waxoyl
Is a pain in the arse, and frankly any paint or coating that people tell you you should really re-apply every year sounds utterly ridiculous in the modern world.
However, it did give us one of the most entertaining threads of all time: Scampi, Waxoyled Cats, and The Pulley.

They talk a good game but having used their products a few times I've been pretty disappointed, having spent a lot of time stripping, cleaning, priming & painting the bullbars on the ambulance to have them look like this a year later and maybe only a few thousand miles of driving:
