====== Step 9: Buy more bits! ====== So far I've been using cheap eBay cutters whcih cost less than £5 for a pack of 10, which is fine for first steps where you are likely to be doing stuff wrong, but not so great once you're doing stuff you actually care about. I got on to [[http://cutwel.co.uk/|Cutwel Tools]] for some decent cutters, here's what I bought: | Code | Description | Price | | E5E47020 | 2mm 1 Flute Alu Power Carbide End Mill | £8.29 | | E5D800103S | 1mm 2 Flute Lapped Alu Power Ball Nose Slot Drill - YG-1 (E5D80 Series) | £8.16 | | E5D800303S | 3mm 2 Flute Lapped Alu Power Ball Nose Slot Drill - YG-1 (E5D80 Series) | £8.68 | | E5E47030 | 3mm 1 Flute Alu Power Carbide End Mill | £8.51 | //Edit from the future:// The ones that get most use are the 3mm 1-flute cutters, which are just lovely. Unfortunately it's easy to blunt one while you're fiddling with settings, or if you mess up, I've got through about 4 of them so far and will be buying them in bulk in future!
