====== Pneumatic Difflock Actuators + On Board Air ======

[[eddie:rebuilds:refresh19:6_difflocks|The Old Setup]] was not reliable for various reasons and I got bored of troubleshooting it.

In an ideal world where I have lots of free time & a spare set of axles laying about to experiment on I would like to have made something custom using a concentric release bearing or similar, but when I discovered that [[https://custom4x4parts.com/|Kamo Oko Vidi Industries]] make an off-the-shelf pneumatic actuator I decided to just bite the bullet and whip out the credit card.

The actuators themselves are beautifully made and super simple, the claim is "they just screw on" which is true but I did manage to mess that up; in actual fact you screw them as far onto the actuator rod as they will go (pulling the rod & engaging the difflock) and then screw the main body into the axle.

They've only had one serious outing so far but have performed very well - I'm still tweaking the on-board air setup though.
