Having been in the right place (LR Enthusiast magazine's forum - long dead and all the good folks migrated to LR4x4.com) at the right time, I ended up helping Nigel from Gon2Far with his first website in return for which he donated me one of his leaf spring suspension kits. This included tilting front spring plates, revolver shackles for the rear, and some very long ProComp shocks (about 14“ travel from memory). I didn't need all the mounting kit as I wasn't using stock axles and we could fabricate that stuff to suit anyway.
Front spring plates welded on:
This is about the only photo I have of the revolvers (test) fitted:
Ultimately we decided not to fit the revolvers on the rear as they were a bit of an unknown and we were going to be driving loaded up on rough roads.
I'm ashamed to say I very rarely remember to unlock the front mounts when off-road, but with the long shocks and parabolics the 109 has a surprising amount of flex, and of course the portals and difflocks help a lot too!
The ProComps lasted a while before being replaced by Bilstein 5125 which transformed the ride.
