Windows 2.0

The 109 CSW contains a lot of glass - and despite having fitted the plastic window channels some years ago, several of the windows are a PITA to open. Specifically the ones in the back (cargo area) have never done anything useful - the catches got messed up during rebuild 1 and the sealing bits went AWOL and honestly who even opens those windows anyway?

Confirmed - last time the rear window opened was 2007.

So, years ago I bought some ~3mm Makrolon cut to size and it sat on the shelf looking at me like the lazy slob I was… UNTIL NOW!

As you may notice in the picture at the top of the page, during 2007's jaunt to Russia, Yamez stuck a disabled sticker in the back window as that's what passes for humour with Suzuki drivers :thefinger: however the sticker wasn't easily removed (Helsinki's China Supermarket be damned!) and scraping it off would knacker the rear window heating elements.. also, Makrolon is like, way more betterer than glass innit  so yeah I already had the piece cut & ready…

Time will tell how well this lot holds up - no matter what the manufacturers claim, plastic windows ALWAYS end up scratched to death & going milky/yellow with age & UV so I'm reluctant to carry this mod much further forward.

Onwards to Difflocks..
