The Story So Far

I'd bought the 109 as a fairly crusty old thing, done a V8 swap and a few other bits, eventually attempted a rebuild and then by extreme good fortune fallen in with the House Of Flying Spanners who helped me properly rebuild it, then driven it to Russia and back 3 times as well as off-roading it at home. I'd had a cage and (complimentary) sliders and bumper made by Dan, which brings things up to the state you see here:

Copied and pasted from LR4x4.

Basically I need to find, manufacture or adapt some sort of permanent solution to the track rod end issue - namely the fact that Volvo C303 RHD TRE's literally don't exist anymore and are a very weird design to start with.

Well this might be a clue as to why it was getting warm on the last outing:

The wire reinforcement from my bitsa hose coolant setup walked its way up the line, I'm assuming that can easily lead to the other end of the hose (in my case, nearest the stat) collapsing and restricting flow.

No major biggies - all the various pipes have been tidied up, I've become slightly obsessed with the DIY split nylon cable clamp for neatness:
